Junior update - 20th March 2026

As we prepare for another action packed season in the Junior section, the Junior Committee are busy in the background ensuring that competitions - old and new - are booked and teams selected. Our main competition is the Order of Merit. This year reduced to 10 events to ensure everyone has a fair shot, please be sure to check the dates are in your diary.

New for 2026 is the 4BBB matchplay competition (To be officially named soon - more to follow on that) is fully subscribed with a very keen cohort. 

Also new is the Christies Cup - a Surrey knockout with 38 clubs entered. Round 1 was against Banstead Downs at home on Sunday 15th March a match in which we lost to a strong side. All results will also be posted to the junior notice board. 

We have also entered teams into the Rookie League - U14’s and U18’s. Clubs including Kingswood, Worplesdon, Woodcote Park, Walton Heath, West Surrey, Cuddington and Horne Park are all participating.

With the diary full of club competitions, general roll ups, matches and of course the Carlile Cup, the juniors have a full diary for the 2026 season. And the best bit? The Junior Dinner held in December to celebrate those achievements and to enjoy the infamous carvery.
