Wine Committee update - 20th March 2026
A new Wine Sub-Committee was formed in early autumn 2025 and tasked itself with conducting some in-depth analysis of the Club Members wine drinking preferences and the range of the wine that is provided. What came out of the survey was that sales of wine last year were at a healthy 6,000 bottles and that the quality of the wine range is exceptional, however individual bottle sales tend to be driven by visibility, familiarity and the right pricing. So in conclusion we have been looking at some adjustments to range, menu navigation and pricing to ensure wide appeal and excellent value for Members for 2026/7.
Rosé has, for many years, been a particularly big category (1,200 bottles pa) which we believe gives us the opportunity to broaden the range and we have some exciting new rosés for the summer, as well as the old favourite (more in the next newsletter).
With the bulk of the review completed we are looking at a bin end sale to reduce inventory so that we can refresh the range and improve storage conditions in the clubhouse. (Details to follow shortly after w/c 16th March).

Sunday Carvery Lunch
Our Sunday Carvery Lunch is a beloved part of Club life. Enjoy a relaxed dining experience in the welcoming Dining Room with views of the golf course. It is a longstanding tradition that continues to bring members together each week.
Over the past six months, the Carvery has welcomed an average of almost fifty members and guests each Sunday. While this is encouraging, we would love to see even more members join us, as the Carvery always proves especially enjoyable for families and friends.
Fabrice and his team prepare a delicious array of dishes each week. Whether you opt for a two‑course or three‑course lunch, it is a perfect occasion to invite fellow members, welcome guests, or celebrate a special moment at the Club.
